VULNERABLE PETS - OUR BEST FRIEND
Patricia (not pictured), my daughter (pictured), and I have 9 total cats, all rescues, and Darrin (right, pictured) has two. Our employees all have and love pets, and we have a special spot in our heart for the local animal rescue. In this case, thats the Harker Heights Pet Adoption Center. This is one of our biggest events for us, with us raising over $600 and some supplies to take care of our furry friends!
cancer - something that affects us all
September is child cancer awareness month (as well as suicide awareness month), so we are partnering up with
BIG Love Cancer Care out of Austin to raise money to children with cancer. We try to help out local charities in the Killeen TX area, but the nearest child cancer charity is in Austin TX. We can't wait to help children and raise money and awareness for child cancer.
TOY DRIVES FOR KIDS!
One of the things we did last year at Christmas and plan to do again this year is host a toy drive to donate to kids in need. Serving our local communities to ensure kids have toys for Christmas is one of the true joys we experience every year and take for granted. Many families do not have the same opportunities, and we want their children to have the same experiences we have!
