At Harker Heights Ceramic Coatings, blue is our favorite color (ok, we really like E-Copper Metallic on our BMW i8), and it’s no exception with this gorgeous new 2023 Mercedes GLB AMB Line, whose Killeen area owner wanted to get protected against rock chips and scratches with our clear bra/paint protection film/PPF service.

For this particular Mercedes SUV, we installed Legend PPF, which carries a 12 year warranty on all clear bra/paint protection film products, which covers any yellowing, cracking, fading, or failure (although we have never seen any of that happen, it’s a good piece of mind!). This will protect against all of the debris that is being kicked up as you drive along the Central Texas roads between Lampasas, through Killeen, and out to Temple (or even driving from Killeen to Austin on I35 with all of the construction).

We then topped it off with a ceramic coating from SB3 Coatings, which has hydrophobic (meaning, it repels water so much easier!) properties. A lot of time we get tons of dust in the Killeen area, and now you know it will be that much easier to clean! Additionally, we covered the wheel faces with ceramic coating from SB3 Coatings, making brake dust easier to remove and prevents future pitting from stuck-on brake dust, and then we applied SB3 Coatings windhsield/glass ceramic coating to make the water repel during rain!

For this vehicle, we used Legend Paint Protection Films. We talked a lot in a FAQ article about what the major differences are between clear bra/paint protection film/PPF companies, if any, between major film manufacturers like Xpel, SunTek, Eastman, Llumar, 3M,, STEK, Flexishield, Global, Legend and more. The key takeaway is that the primary differences are in the properties of the adhesive, which installers have to deal with, but generally, don’t affect anything the client sees.
