August Recap: Busy Season at Harker Heights Ceramic Coatings in Killeen, TX

August is typically a slower month for many businesses in the Killeen area. Back-to-school season often means families are focused on school supplies, extracurriculars, and adjusting to new schedules. But here at Harker Heights Ceramic Coatings, August 2025 turned out to be one of our busiest months yet! Between back-to-school prep, local events, and ongoing hail repair demand, our team stayed fully booked and then some.

In this blog, we’ll take you inside our August highlights—from the dozens of cars we tinted, protected, and ceramic coated, to our massive August 10th car meet that raised funds for local charities. 🔧 What We Installed in June

August by the Numbers

Even with back-to-school distractions, August proved to be one of our most active months on record. Here’s a breakdown:

• 15 cars protected with PPF
• 20 cars received ceramic coatings
• 120 cars tinted
• Dozens of hail-damaged vehicles repaired

Our tinting bay in particular was running at full speed. Several days, Jose and Aiden tinted 9–10 cars per day, showing just how much demand there is for premium Autobahn window tint in the Killeen–Harker Heights–Copperas Cove area.

Standout Projects in August

Of course, with the volume we handle, there were some memorable highlights:

• Another 2025 C8 Corvette Z06: This beast came in for a full-front PPF package, ensuring the aggressive nose and fenders are fully protected from Texas roads.
• 2025 BMW M2 Track Package: We applied a track package PPF, giving the owner confidence that rock chips and road debris won’t damage their paint during spirited driving.
• 2025 RAM 2500s: August was the month of heavy-duty trucks! We completed both a full-front PPF and a complete body PPF on two separate RAM 2500s.
• Luxury lineup: Cadillac Escalade, Cadillac CT5, Genesis, and a Mercedes E350 also received protection and tint upgrades.

Hail Repair Work Continues

We’re still repairing hail-damaged vehicles from this year’s major storm. While Copperas Cove was hit hardest, cars from across Central Texas are still rolling in.

We specialize in paintless dent repair (PDR), which allows us to restore your vehicle’s panels without repainting. PDR is faster, keeps your factory finish intact, and is usually approved by insurance.



For aluminum panels, the process can be more complex, but we’re experts in handling hail damage and repairing aluminum panels.

August 10th Car Meet: A Huge Success

One of our biggest highlights was our massive August 10th car meet at Harker Heights Ceramic Coatings. The turnout exceeded expectations:

• Over 80 cars filled our lot
• Vendors offered coffee, food, desserts, and face painting
• We raised over $600 for the Harker Heights Pet Adoption Center
  
  

This event brought together car enthusiasts, families, and the community. And of course, our prize wheel gave attendees the chance to win discounts on tint, PPF, and ceramic coatings.

Upcoming September 14th Event

If you thought August 10th was exciting, our September 14th event is shaping up to be even bigger. Here’s a preview:

• Live music from Noah Derrick
• Free pony rides by CS’s Reining Equines
• Free Kona Ice and coffee from Covenant Coffee
• Free face painting by Fridae

Plus, the Harker Heights Pet Adoption Center will return with adoptable pets. Between our staff and customers, it’s safe to say we’re a pet-loving crew—Patricia and I have 9 cats, and our employees have another 7–8 combined (our tinter alone has 4–5 cats!).

• We expect to see 100+ cars this time around, making it one of the largest meets in the Killeen area.
  
  

Supporting Local Causes

This September, we’re also proud to partner with BIG Love Cancer Care out of Austin for Child Cancer Awareness Month. After raising over $600 in August, we’re setting our sights even higher. With lessons learned from our last event, we’re confident we can exceed our previous fundraising total.
