2022 C8 Stingray Full Body Clear Bra – PPF wrap Installation – Killeen Texas

We once again teamed up with our colleagues at Hammerdown Motorsports in Leander, Texas (serving the greater Austin, TX area and beyond, and providing track support to racecars), Detail Driven Transporters (who picked up our M8 Competition we had just completed at the same time), Bouley Detailing (Houston, Texas) and HHCC partnered up for this C8 stingray full body clear bra Installation. Jackson (Bouley Detailing) and Matthew went to clear bra (PPF, paint protection film, PPF Wrap) training together some time ago, and have been working together on full body and track pack clear bra projects together. This is the second major project we did together, with another one upcoming. Detail Driven Transporters provided the enclosed trailer transportation for us round trip for this job from Leander up to the Killeen/Harker Heights area. Hammerdown Motorsports is a high-end performance shop serving the greater Austin area.

FULL BODY PPF WRAP?

We completed a full body (meaning, almost all painted surfaces) clear bra installation on this C8 Stingray, which already had seen some track time and knew they needed more rock protection. However, while we cannot guarantee that clear bra will hold up on track (it’s possible, but not it’s intended use, but should definitely provide great protection). This car is also daily-driven in addition to its track use, so it will see its fair share of both construction debris on Texas roads as well as debris and melted rubber on track. 

This car has already seen quite a few upgrades from Hammerdown Motorsports, such as a very aggressive exhaust, Vossen forged wheels, and a few other goodies, and we were glad to put the finishing touches on this project with our clear bra (PPF, paint protection film) package. 

All of our PPF is mostly hydrophobic (meaning, it repels water similarly to ceramic coatings), and self-healing. That means a lot of the scratches and scuffs this car might see should heal on their own, to a degree, in the Texas heat. You can stop by our shop in Harker Heights, and we can demonstrate on our mini hood or our own car at how well scratches heal.
