You might have noticed that we conduct a lot of ceramic coating and paint correction on black vehicles! Black vehicles, such as this Cadillac CTS-V, are easily damaged with washing swirls. Unlike silver or white colored paint, black paint does not hide any scratches or swirls. Maybe you have seen that almost gray color when a vehicle is heavily swirled and requires ceramic coating and paint correction.
Unfortunately, ceramic coating by itself does not cover or eliminate swirls. In fact, quite the opposite. Ceramic coating tends to enhance or magnify defects in your vehicle’s paint (just like it enhances good paint after a ceramic coating and paint correction combination).
Using our tried and true Flex Power Tools rotary and dual action polishers, we are able to to achieve great results even on black paint. General Motors (GM) black paint often haunts auto detailers due to its soft nature, making it difficult to conduct ceramic coating and paint correction without inadvertently causing micro-marring.
Also, we pair our Meguiar’s polish and compound, with Lake Country polishing pads, to create an awesome 1-2 knockout punch that removes the swirls. After we finished our polishing, we then applied a two year ceramic coating to the paint. Of course, the ceramic coating and paint correction enhanced the gloss of the vehicle, making our Killeen-area client incredibly happy!

Typically, we would use STEK, Llumar, or Legend PPF gloss or matte paint protection film. CERAMIC COATING and paint correction OFFERINGS IN THE COPPERAS COVE/KILLEEN/HARKER HEIGHTS AREA:

– Optic is a one-year ceramic coating similar to glass on the market and is used on your windshield/glass surfaces from SB3 Coatings. Unlike Rain-X or similar products, SB3 Optic will last for a whole year. Another key point is the incredible hydrophobic properties that SB3 Optic has over Rain-X.
