This is the second Brooklyn Gray BMW we have done at Harker Heights Ceramic Coating, and we have to say – the color is just beautiful! (The other vehicle was a 2022 BMW X4, which also received clear bra/paint protection film). There are quite a few of these Brooklyn Gray BMWs driving around the Killeen/Fort Hood/Copperas Cove/Harker Heights areas (also an X5M Competition that was for sale locally at the Killeen Ford dealer).
Here we used the brand Legend PPF (the FIRST clear bra company to offer a 12 year warranty) to install clear bra/paint protection film on the hood, fenders, front bumper, mirrors, door cups, and pillars. If you have ever owned a car with the piano black side pillars, you know how awful of a time you can have trying to keep them scratch and swirl free (we just assume any set and every set will always be swirled)!
After we finished installing the clear bra/paint protection film, we installed a five year ceramic coating using SB3 Coatings Alpha. We plan to have the client back very shortly for more clear bra and ceramic coating pieces!
Ceramic Coating Choices
– The SB3 Coatings Solo is our one year ceramic coating
– SB3 Coatings Omega is our two year ceramic coating. This also creates a “Jolly Rancher” effect

– System X Max is our ten year ceramic coating, which also includes just one layer, returning your vehicle to you in a timely fashion.
Our Material

The key takeaway is that the primary differences are in the properties of the adhesive, which is something installers have to deal with, but generally, don’t have an effect on anything the client sees.
People frequently ask about Xpel clear bra/paint protection film, and if Legend PPF compares to Xpel at all. A lot of people use Xpel to mean clear bra because Xpel is one of the most popular brands.
